Carolina Lio


Carolina Lio (b. 1984), a curator, writer and researcher based in London since 2015. Before settling in London, Carolina has lived in Milan, Berlin, Hong Kong, and Barcelona.

She holds a degree in Semiotics from Università di Bologna, an MA in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art, London, and studied in the post-master programme CuratorLab at Konstfack University, Stockholm.

Besides being founding director of LF she is also curator of live public programme at Visible, Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto and Fondazione Zegna, Italy; curator at Empathy&Risk, London; associate curator at ACAVA, UK; associate curator at SPEX, Switzerland; and lecturer in History of Art and Design at Istituto Marangoni, London.

Previously, Carolina has been curator-in-residence at Sant Andreu Contemporani, Barcelona (2020); USF, Bergen (2019); Fire Station, Dublin; and Art Affairs and Documents Foundation, Sofia (2018). In 2017, she was selected for the Neon Curatorial Exchange by NEON Organisation, Athens, and Whitechapel Gallery, London. In 2015, she was guest researcher at MACBA Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona.

She also curated exhibitions and public programmes at Armenian Center for Contemporary Experimental Art, Yerevan; Beaconsfield Gallery, London; EAC, Montevideo; Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa, Venice; Goethe-Institut, Sofia; Goldsmiths MFA, London; Hong Kong Arts Centre; Institute of Balearics Studies, Palma; and Italian Institute of Culture, Barcelona, among others.

Tal Gilad (b.1985) is a Stockholm-based independent curator.

Her education includes a BFA in fine arts from Bezalel, Jerusalem (2010), and a postgraduate in the Curatorial Studies Program of the Kibbutzim College of Education and CCA Tel-Aviv (2013). She is a recent CuratorLab 2019/2020 at Konstfack University alumna and worked in and with institutions such as The Digital Art Lab (Holon), The Center for Contemporary Art (Tel-Aviv), Tensta Konsthall, The Nordic art association/NKF (Stockholm), Visible, and most recently, Luleå Biennial.

Her practice is flexible and focuses on the curator-artist-viewer relationship to create an ever-expanding community based on art discourse concerning life.

Arianna Guidi

Assistant Curator

Arianna Guidi is an Italian designer and curator based between Zürich, London and Rome. She studied art and design in the Netherlands and holds a MA in Contemporary Typographic Media from the London College of Communication.

Her curatorial and design practices focus on language and miscommunication, multicultural perspectives and encounters. She collaborates with OnCurating Project Space in Zurich, and is completing the Postgraduate Programme in Curating, MAS at the Zürcher Hochschule Der Künste (ZHdK).

Giulia Menegale (b. 1995) is a freelance curator and researcher interested in the relation between art and globalisation from the perspective of museum studies, decolonial and feminist theories.

She holds a MA in Contemporary Art Theory (2020) from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a BA in Multimedia Arts (2018) from IUAV (University of Architecture of Venice). She has collaborated as a curatorial, research and editorial assistant for: Castello di Rivoli - Museum of Contemporary Arts (Turin), Island gallery (Brussels) and Taryn Simon Projects (New York).

She contributed with reviews and essays for: WCS/CD (Belgrade), Subbcultcha (Amsterdam) and academic journals from the Taylor & Francis Group. She took part in residency programmes and curatorial courses, such as: Bagni d’Aria (Turin), Salzburg Summer Academy (Salzburg), IMMA- Art and Politics Summer School (Dublin) and Unidee, Fondazione Pistoletto (Biella).

She curated and co-curated public programmes, groups exhibitions and workshops between the UK and Italy.
